Monday Essentials: Meet Katherine Clark

Five things going on this week in Arlington.

1.) Meet Katherine Clark: Congressional candidate Katherine Clark will be at her Arlington campaign office at 1179 Mass. Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 29, to meet with residents. Clark, the Democratic state senator from Melrose, opened the office earlier this month.

2.) Common Ground Bar & Grill: Common Ground Bar & Grill, the Allston gastropub looking to open an Arlington location at the old Gemma spot at 319 Broadway, will go before the Redevelopment Board at 7 p.m. Monday, July 29, in the Town Hall Annex’ second-floor conference room. More on the restaurant proposal >>

3.) Holi Festival: The Robbins Library is hosting a Holi celebration from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 31. You’ll learn basic Kathak dance moves and then head outside for the Holi festival, where people throw colored powder at each other – make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.
