Don't Forget: Renew Your Dog's License

The following is from the Town of Arlington.

Dog License Renewal Reminder

The law requires all dogs six months old or over to be licensed in Arlington annually as of January 1st. If your dog is not yet licensed please be advised that you could be cited for a failure to license your dog. Additionally after March 3rd 2014, there will be a late fee of $50.00 added to your regular annual fee to license your dog. Dog license registration information can be found here.

Off-Leash Dog Regulation Reminder

The Recreation Department and Park and Recreation Commission have developed rules and regulations for where and when off-leash dog activity is allowed and is included in the Off-leash Dogs in Arlington Parks brochure. Please be advised that any resident with dog that is off leash in an unapproved location and/or time can be cited. A list of all Arlington parks and fields including the off-leash hours can be found at arlingtonma.gov/dogs.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Animal Control Officer. The Animal Control Department is not only tasked with enforcing rules and regulations, but is a resource to the community. The office is ready to provide information or assistance for a variety of animal related issues. You can learn more about these services as well as how to contact the office here.
