Don't Be Alarmed by White Smoke Coming from Manholes in August

1.) To improve sewer service, the town, through Weston & Sampson, will be conducting smoke testing on portions of the sanitary system during the month of August.

During the testing, which is used to determine where rainwater is entering the system, white smoke will be introduced into the system via a smoke machine – the smoke, which will be venting from manholes in town, should not be cause for alarm, according to the town.
