Civil Rights Author in Arlington Wednesday

The next installment of Arlington Community Ed's 'Conversations Series' is Wednesday night.

Robert McKersie will discuss his new book, “A Decisive Decade: An Insider’s View of the Chicago Civil Rights Movement During the 1960s,” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Arlington High School.

McKersie’s talk, which will be moderated by former Arlington High principal Charles Skidmore, is part of Arlington Community Ed’s “Conversations Series.”

McKersie, a professor emeritus at MIT’s Sloan School, was a white activist during the Civil Rights Movement. He’ll share his firsthand experiences in the movement Wednesday.
