Arlington’s 77 Bus Route Part of MBTA’s 3 a.m. Pilot Program

The Mass. Ave. bus route will run until 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays starting this spring as part of the one-year pilot program.

Arlington’s 77 bus route is included in the MBTA’s new pilot program, which will extend weekend service on all subways and the 15 most popular bus routes until 3 a.m. starting this spring.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick announced the one-year pilot program Tuesday, according to the Boston Globe. The program will be funded by $20 million in state funds, as well as corporate sponsors, the Globe reports.

The 77 bus route runs along Mass. Ave. from the Arlington Heights Busway to Cambridge’s Harvard Square.
