The season of "This Old House" featuring the Arlington Italianate will premiere at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, on WGBH 2.

The following email was sent to Arlington Patch from WGBH spokesman Michael Raia Friday afternoon.

"Due to an operational error, last night’s scheduled premiere of This Old House’s Arlington project on WGBX 44 and New Hampshire Explore was mistakenly preempted by a rebroadcast of the final episode of This Old House’s project on the Jersey Shore. WGBH regrets the error and apologizes to all viewers who had hoped to enjoy a new episode showcasing a local project.

The premiere of the Arlington project will be broadcast as scheduled tomorrow (Saturday, January 4) at 5pm on WGBH 2. In addition, WGBX 44 will air a special back-to-back stack of the first two Arlington episodes on Thursday, January 9 at 8pm and 8:30pm."

Original post:

An Arlington home dating back to 1872 will be renovated on this season of “This Old House.”

The season premiere is at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, on PBS (See above for correct time and date).

Heather and Malcolm Faulds, who have two kids, own the Italianate-style home.

The season will also highlight different aspects of Arlington, including the water tower in Arlington Heights.

“This Old House” has released a season preview trailer, a before photo gallery of the home and a project overview page.

Love that old pile of bricks. A true celebration of the bursting European style construction limited by costs and matetials at that time. Take a good look. Hope the owners have the cake because "This Old House" is not free.

Is anyone else unable to watch it? It appears that PBS is showing "The Jersey Shore Rebuilds" right now (which is advertised as being on tomorrow).

It's on WGBX, Channel 14 on broadcast. Sorry about the confusion.

Why are all these comments dated January 2 when this article clarifying it came out January 3 and we got it in the email today, the 4th. I did record the episode today at 5PM. Only the first half hour was the Arlington house. If I read this post correctly, they will re-air this same half hour segment next week at 8:00 and then the second one at 8:30. However, looking my cable TV guide, it lists the program as airing from 8 to 9 PM and there will be more than just the Arlington house stuff. I love WGBH programming, but they do tend to screw up their schedules quite frequently. Especially the shows I like.

Whats the address of this house? I'd love to drive by and see the progress in person.
