SEPAC meetings and call for volunteers

Save the Dates

There are three remaining meetings scheduled for the Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) on April 14, May 12, and June 9, all Monday mornings, 8:30 to 10:30.

The meetings agendas have not been finalized, but we are working to ensure that the meetings will provide valuable content for parents.

The June 9 meeting is an Election Meeting, at which the new board members will be elected and bylaws amendments proposed in the May 12 meeting will be voted upon.

The meeting locations will be announced (contrary to information sent out in the September mailing). Please feel free to inquire about location or any other matter by contacting Jerri Newman, SEPAC secretary, at ArlingtonSEPAC@gmail.com

Call for Volunteers

SEPAC is a parent-led volunteer organization that is mandated by state law to advise  the school district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities.

Bylaws formulated and voted into existence by parents define roles for SEPAC board members, but there are many roles that can be filled only by parent and community volunteers. If you have an hour or two per week, or more, or less, please consider stepping up to serve as a parent leader or volunteer in SEPAC activities.
