Cooperative Elder Services Granted $6,000 from Boston-based Charity Fund

Cooperative Elder Services, Inc. (CESI) recently received a $6,000 grant from the Bushrod H. Campbell & Adah F. Hall Charity Fund based in Boston.  The generous grant will be used to supplement the cost of essential nutrition for low-income and at-risk elders living in the Arlington area.  CESI is a non-profit Adult Day Health organization with centers located in Arlington, Burlington, Milton, Groton and Concord.  CESI provides a welcoming day-time environment for local seniors, with nursing care, nutrition, socialization with peers, therapeutic activities, social services, caregiver support and round-trip transportation offered throughout the week.  The mission of CESI is to delay or prevent nursing home placement by promoting health and independence, and enhancing the quality of life for elders.  For more information, contact Esther Robbins at 781-641-1070 x2 or visit www.elderdayservices.com
