Two Spy Ponder Playoff Games Friday

The Arlington High football and girls' soccer teams will be in action.

Two Spy Ponder playoff games Friday, Nov. 8, will put the winners of the Middlesex League’s Liberty and Freedom divisions against each other.

Girls’ Soccer

At 4 p.m., the Arlington High girls’ soccer team, which won the Liberty division, will face Freedom winner Wilmington at Chelmsford High School in the Division 2 North semifinals.

Wilmington got the top seed in the Division 2 North bracket with a 16-1-1 regular-season record. Arlington earned the No. 5 seed going 11-2-4.

In the teams’ only game this season, Wilmington won at Arlington 3-2 in early October.

Football

The No. 4 Arlington High football team will be at No. 2 Melrose at 7 p.m. in the Division 3 Northwest semifinals. Arlington won the Liberty division with a 6-1 regular-season record, Melrose the Freedom division with the same record.
