  behaviors\, and how it can be caused by ADHD versus mood disorders. We&
 rsquo\;ll also assess how Risk factors for suicidality in teen populatio
 ns will also be highlighted. Dr. Ghaemi will provide parents with curren
 t epidemiological statistics on these mental health phenomena. Parents w
 ill be offered practical tools for identifying these problems and sensib
 le solutions for early intervention.&nbsp\; \n&nbsp\;\nPresentor:&nbsp\;
  Nassir Ghaemi\, MD\, MPH is an academic psychiatrist specializing in mo
 od illnesses\, especially bipolar disorder. He is Professor of Psychiatr
 y and Pharmacology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston\, where he directs 
 the Mood Disorders Program. He is also a Clinical Lecturer at Harvard Me
 dical School\, and teaches resident psychiatrists at the Cambridge Healt
 h Alliance.   Dr. Ghaemi has trained and worked mostly in the Boston are
 a during his career\, mainly in Harvard-affiliated hospitals (McLean Hos
 pital\, Massachusetts General Hospital\, and Cambridge Hospital). He has
  also practiced at George Washington University and Emory University. Hi
 s medical degree is from the Medical College of Virginia/​Virginia Com
 monwealth University. He also holds a masters degree in Philosophy from 
 Tufts University and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University.
    His clinical work and research has focused on depression and manic-de
 pressive illness. In this work\, he has published over 100 scientific ar
 ticles\, over 30 scientific book chapters\, and has written or edited a 
 number of books. His New York Times best-selling book\, &ldquo\;A First 
 Rate Madness: Uncovering the Links Between Mental Illness and Leadership
 &rdquo\; was featured on The Colbert Report on Comedy Central in August 
 2011. He serves on a number of editorial boards of psychiatric journals\
 , and he is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Associati
 on. He has also served as a volunteer consultant to many psychiatric sup
 port and education groups over his career. Dr. Ghaemi publishes articles
  for Psychology Today in a blog called &ldquo\;Mood Swings.&rdquo\;\n&nb
 sp\;\nDr. Ghaemi has one child who has attended and one child who is cur
 rently attending&nbsp\; Arlington Public Schools.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\n&nbsp
