3:00-4:30 Closing Reception for “Inspired by Place”

Enjoy food and drink and a chance to meet photographers Rose Austin,

 Claire Ghiloni, and Fred Moses

11-4:30 Guided tours of the Mill, including frame-turning demonstrations

on original 19th century lathes.

The Old Schwamb Mill is an 1864 oval picture frame factory and living museum, located on the oldest continuously working mill site in the country.

Open Tuesdays and Saturdays 11-3 for guided tours and gallery viewing.

Groups by appointment.

Shopping is available at Shaker Workshops in the mill’s barn: furniture, lamps, rugs, and many  seasonal and unique gift items. Mon-Sat 10-5

Old Schwamb Mill is a historical landmark that was renovated in 1861 and has been operating in some form or another for over 300 years. The mill currently produces museum-quality hand-turned oval and circular wooden frames, which are shipped around the world. Visitors are welcome to visit the mill. Visit the Web site for tour information and watch a frame being made.
