   Popdose  CHRIS TRAPPER began his career as the front man for  late-90&
 rsquo\;s alternative rock band THE PUSH STARS (Capitol Records).&nbsp\; 
 With  four CD releases and several high profile national tours&mdash\;in
 cluding a run  with Matchbox Twenty&mdash\;The Push Stars served to esta
 blish Chris as an  authentic talent.&nbsp\;\nAs a modern day singer /son
 gwriter\, Chris is most known for his song This Time\, the #1 selling so
 ng on the Grammy nominated soundtrack for AUGUST RUSH (Robin Williams\, 
 Jonathan Rhys Meyers /Warner Bros Pictures).&nbsp\;\nThe newest CD (rele
 ased October 2011)\, The Few &amp\; The Far Between\,  is a collection o
 f 14 songs written and performed by Chris Trapper.&nbsp\;  This new work
  was Produced\, Recorded and Mixed by Dan McLoughlin (The  Push Stars\, 
 Mike Peters\, Juliana Hatfield) at the Vault Recording  Studio\, Hoboken
 \, NJ.\nFocus tracks include the CD opener\, Here All Along\, featuring 
 guest vocals by Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty\,  The More I Think featur
 ing vocals and slide guitar by Colin Hay of Men  at Work and Ghost In Yo
 ur Arms featuring backing vocals from Boston&rsquo\;s  own Kristen Cifel
 li.&nbsp\;\nThe New York Times calls his work &ldquo\;classic pop perfec
 tion.&rdquo\;\nA prolific songwriter\, Chris can boast high profile film
  placements  including There&rsquo\;s Something About Mary (Ben Stiller\
 , Cameron Diaz)\, The  Devil Wears Prada (Meryl Streep)\, Say It Isn&rsq
 uo\;t So (Heather Graham) and  Gun Shy (Sandra Bullock\, Liam Neeson) as
  well as significant television  placements including All My Children\, 
 Women&rsquo\;s Murder Club\, Malcolm In  The Middle\, a coveted placemen
 t in George Clooney&rsquo\;s final episode of ER\,  the theme song for W

  with/for Canadian band GREAT BIG SEA\, including their #1 single  &ldqu
 o\;Sea Of No Cares&rdquo\; from the certified-platinum Sea Of No Cares C
 D.&nbsp\; Great  Big Sea covered Trapper&rsquo\;s song &ldquo\;Everythin
 g Shines&rdquo\; and their version  served as the debut single off their
  certified-gold Road Rage CD album.  Chris&rsquo\; songwriting collabora
 tions with Great Big Sea earned him two  prestigious SOCAN awards. Rob T
 homas of Matchbox Twenty and Antigone  Rising have performed other notab
 le versions of Trapper&rsquo\;s songs.\nChris Trapper&rsquo\;s ability t
 o craft songs that are both elegant and  accessible is evident on each s
 olo CD in his deep Discography. There is a  smart\, honest quality to th
 e lyrics that never panders.&nbsp\;\nTrapper&rsquo\;s live show is a fav

 ona is warm and inclusive\, his organic understanding of  classic pop me

 espected band of brothers on the road\, largely  thanks to their venerab
 le work ethic\, stellar musicianship\, and fans in  high places. The fou
 r-piece powerpop band is comprised of identical  brothers Sean and Domin
 ic Kelly\, their younger brother Brendan\, and  Shaun Rhoades. The band 
 will release their fourth CD &ldquo\;Be Nice Be  Careful\,&rdquo\; in Ja
 nuary.&nbsp\; The new disc was recorded with music legend Mitch  Easter 
 as producer and Ted Comerford as co-producer. Known for his work  with b
 ands like R.E.M. and Pavement\, Easter brought his trademark  jangle-pop
  sound to the band&rsquo\;s compositions.
