The Committee to Elect Tom Sheff is pleased to announce that Tom has received the endorsement from the Newton Tab.

"This is significant," said Sheff. "This was the only time my opponent and I sat down for an interview for the Governor's Council together. It's an extremely important step, because a traditionally liberal newspaper, went with an independent today."

The Governor's Council of Massachusetts is a popularly-elected board which must give the governor advice and consent with respect to nominations of judicial officers, appointment and removal of notaries public and justices of the peace, and issuance of pardons and commutations.
