Here are a few events happening around town this week:
Goldilocks and the Three Pigs: On Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.,the professional actor-educators from Kidstock! are bringing Goldilocks and the Three Pigs to Robbins Library The actors will be hoping for volunteer assistance of young audience members as both onstage actors and offstage participants in this fun-filled and dramatic presentation. Shows run about 30-40 minutes long and are suited for ages 3 and up. Space is limited; please pick up a ticket a 30 min prior to the performance.
General Cancer Support Group: Men and women of all ages and with all types of cancers are welcome to join at any time. The group has developed cohesiveness around management of fear and anxiety, developing hope and meaning, and loving support for all members. No fee. Held at the Center for Cancer Support & Education in East Arlington. Please call or email to preregister.
Arlington Farmers Market: The Arlington Farmers Market is held every Wednesday, 2-6:30 p.m.,at the Russell Common parking lot in Arlington Center. Check out some of the vendors on Arlington Patch's new feature, Farmers Market Spotlight.
Old Schwamb Mill Tours: Old Schwamb Mill is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and by appointment. Admission is free.
Donations for American troops: Every day this week, Barrett & Company Real Estate is collecting donations of peanut butter, jelly and Marshmallow Fluff for Operation American Soldier. Small plastic jars can be dropped off at the Barrett & Company offices in Concord, Lincoln and Carlisle Centers.
