Two Support Groups to Meet Today

Are you looking for a job? Stop by the Robbins Library this morning for some helpful advice.

Today is Tuesday, July 31. Here are five things you need to know:

1. It should be partly sunny today with a high near 76, according to the National Weather Service. Showers and thunderstorms could hit the area tonight, but they’re not expected to arrive until after 11 p.m.

2. The Workers in Transition Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. today in the Robbins Library.

3. A Breast Cancer Support Group will meet at 4:30 p.m. today in Armstrong Ambulance’s conference room at 87 Mystic St. The free support group is for women at any stage in their breast cancer journey, from just diagnosed to post treatment. Contact the Center for Cancer Support & Education to join. Preregistration is required.

4. The Uncle Sam Committee will meet at 8 p.m. tonight in the Senior Center.

5. Vote for your favorite local businesses in Arlington in our Readers’ Choice 2012.
