Sandra Bullock’s new movie, “The Heat,” will be filming near Cambridge’s Inman Square today, Friday and Monday, according to Somerville Patch.
The buddy-cop comedy also stars Melissa McCarthy of “Bridesmaids” fame, Kaitlin Olson from “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” and Michael Rapaport.
The Cambridge scenes will take place at a local hospital, a city spokesperson told Patch. The movie has been filming around Boston for about the last month.
Producers of “The Heat” are looking for extras to film a club scene in Boston on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 14 and 15.
‘Labor Day’
Over in Winchester, the new Jason Reitman movie, “Labor Day,” is being filmed at a house on Cabot Street, which is just about a mile from the Arlington border. Crews were at the home Wednesday, and Winchester High School is being used as a staging area, according to Winchester Patch.
The drama has a star-studded cast that includes Kate Winslet, Tobey Maguire, Josh Brolin and James Van Der Beek. The director Reitman is known for his hits “Up in the Air” and “Juno.”
