Tonight: Friends of Robbins Farm Park Annual Meeting

Today is Wednesday, Jan. 23. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) The Friends of Robbins Farm Park’s annual meeting is at 6:45 p.m. tonight in the Robbins Library. Armstrong Ambulance’s founder, Bill Armstrong, will speak at the meeting, and there will be presentations on the group’s accomplishments over the past year and the election of the board of directors, along with a special celebration. 2.) Today’s high is only expected to be 18 degrees, according to the National Weather Service, and the overnight low is 2. With the wind, temperatures could feel like -9 during the day and -13 at night. Thursday is expected to be just as cold.

3.) The Arlington High boys’ and girls’ indoor track teams will compete in the Middlesex League meet at 5 p.m. today at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. The high school’s boys’ hockey team will host Triton at 6 p.m. at Ed Burns Arena. The boys’ basketball team will be at Somerville at 7 p.m., the wrestling team at Woburn at the same time.

4.) The Arlington Catholic girls’ hockey team will host Hingham at 8 p.m. at Ed Burns Arena. The boys’ team will face St. Mary’s of Lynn at 5 p.m. at Connery Rink in Lynn.
