State Sen. Sal DiDomenico Endorses Margaret Hegarty for State Rep
Hegarty, of Belmont, is a Democratic candidate for state representative in the 24th Middlesex District. She'll face Belmont's Bobby Reardon and North Cambridge's Dave Rogers in the primary on Thursday, Sept. 6.
The following is from the Committee to Elect Margaret Hegarty.
"I am proud to endorse Margaret Hegarty for State Representative," said Senator Sal DiDomenico (D-Everett). "Having worked directly with Margaret and knowing her tireless work ethic, collaborative approach and progressive values, I know that Margaret will work day-in and day-out to make a real and lasting impact of the lives of people in our state and am confident that she will be an effective advocate for the residents of the 24th Middlesex District."
“It is an honor to be endorsed by Senator Sal DiDomenico. Knowing that I have a leader of the Senate recognizing my work and supporting me in this election is a positive for all of the people of Arlington, Belmont and Cambridge. Thank you,” said Margaret when hearing the news.
This brings the total to five endorsements so far from leaders in the community including former State Rep. Anne Paulsen who held the seat for this district.
