Special Education Proposals on Tonight's School Committee Agenda

Committee members will also discuss their priorities for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget.

 

Today is Thursday, Jan. 10. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) Special education proposals, specifically a new approach to delivery of elementary service and an administrative reorganization, as well as committee members’ priorities for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget, are on tonight’s School Committee agenda. The committee meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the School Committee Room on the sixth floor of Arlington High School.

2.) In case you missed it, Wings Over Arlington, at 218 Mass. Ave. in Capitol Square, is now open and hiring.

3.) Congressman Ed Markey sent a letter to Vice President Joe Biden Wednesday calling for a new assault weapons ban and improved background checks, among other measures. Read more.

4.) The Arlington High swim team is at Malden today at 3:30 p.m.

5.) Today should be sunny with a high near 45, according to the National Weather Service.
