I used to think the Minuteman path, but the racing bikes have made it a mixed experience, so now I favor Arlington Great Meadows

Hi Jane,
Arlington's Great Meadows is off the Minuteman path -- behind the Waldorf School in Lexington (it's actually in Lexington as well). You can find out more information at the Friends of Arlington's Great Meadows website -- http://www.foagm.org/.
I like running on the Minuteman path as well -- I usually run on the shoulder (where there is one) b/c its a softer surface and clear of bikers.
I think a lot of Arlington's roads are quite good for running, including Mystic Valley Parkway and Summer Street. I'm also a huge fan of the Middlesex Fells nearby, either by running there or driving.
