To some, air conditioning is a No. 1 priority in the summer months. To others, it's not needed in New England and a waste of money and energy.
What side of the fence are you on?

Does it count if there's air conditioning in one room (not a bedroom), and we only use it on the most horrific days?

Hmmm, I'd say you're squarely on the fence, maybe closer to "No." Does today count as one of the most horrific days?

Shouldn't there be other choices? Like, "No, my house stays cool unless a heatwave lasts longer than three days" or "No, I suffer in the name of reducing greenhouse gases" or "Yes, I have a sick pet who might die in the heat". I mean, if you are going to be adding value judgments to the yes and no, at least give us a few more values to choose from!
