Police Log: Man Steals Tip Jar from Starbucks

The following information comes from the Arlington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Larceny at Starbucks

On Monday, Arlington Police were called to Starbucks, 327 Broadway, for a report of a stolen tip jar. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a black t-shirt that had “America” on the front.

A Starbucks employee told police the man had ordered a drink, and while the employee worked, he stole the tip jar, according to the police report. The value in the tip jar was about $20, the employee said, according to police.

The man reportedly ran from Starbucks, heading north on Medford Street toward Medford. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, according to the report.

Suspected stolen wallet shows up in fridge

Police were called to investigate a complaint of a stolen wallet on Monday. The victim later told police he found it in his fridge, suspecting a friend played a prank on him, according to the police report.
