Alan Tauber (above) started the DrumConnection 22 years ago and opened his store, with his wife Fanta Keita Tauber, at 177 Mass. Ave. in East Arlington two years ago. The DrumConnection not only features authentic West African drums, art and jewelry (mostly from Guinea), it also offers a variety of hand-drumming classes.
