The 16th-seeded Arlington High boys' basketball team's season came to an end Thursday night, as the team fell 76-52 at undefeated, No. 1 Melrose in the first round of the North Division 2 bracket.
The Spy Ponders finish the season 11-11. They did get one playoff win, a 68-52 home victory over No. 17 Tewksbury (9-12) on Monday.
Melrose (21-0) advances to the quarterfinals, where they will host No. 8 New Mission (15-6) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
