One Day Left to Register to Vote for Town Elections
Also, a bicycle get-together and School Committee meeting tonight.
Today is Thursday, March 14. Here are five things you need to know.
1.) From the town: The Clerk’s Office would like to remind residents that the last day to register to vote for the Annual Town Election is Friday, March 15. The Clerk’s Office will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can also register by mail if your application is postmarked by midnight, March 15, and is received within five days. You can pick up a voter registration form at the Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, 730 Mass. Ave., or download it at the Election Assistance Commission website.
The 2013 Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 6. Polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Town Election ballot and polling information can be found at arlingtonma.gov/elections.
2.) The Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee (ABAC)’s annual Bicycle Winter Social get-together is from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the Arlington Center for the Arts. Read more.
3.) The School Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. tonight in the School Committee Room on the sixth floor of Arlington High School. The committee’s agenda was not online as of early this morning.
4.) The annual Guns and Hoses Charity Hockey Game for Autism is Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at the Ed Burns Arena. The Arlington Police and Fire departments will square off with all money going to Autism Speaks and local support groups. Read more.
