Five Things: School Committee to Select New Member Tonight

Today is Thursday, May 3. Here are five things you need to know.

 

1. Weather: There is a chance of showers this morning, mainly before 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. The rest of the day should be cloudy with temperatures in the mid 50s.

2. The School Committee is planning to select its new member tonight. The committee will interview the applicants from 8 to 10 p.m. tonight in its room on the sixth floor of Arlington High School and then pick one, via majority vote.

3. See what happened at Town Meeting’s fourth session Wednesday night.

4. Where is the best place to go for Mother’s Day brunch? You have until 9 a.m. Friday, May 4, to vote for your favorite spot. So far, it’s a dead heat among The Arlington Restaurant & Diner, Tryst, Flora and Not Your Average Joe’s. VOTE!
