Five Things: Bike Travel Film Festival at Regent Tonight

Today is Thursday, May 17. Here are five things you need to know.

 

1. It should be sunny today with a high near 71 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Regent Theatre is hosting a bike travel film festival tonight (Thursday, May 17). “The World of Wheels: 3rd Annual Ciclismo Classico Bike Travel Film Festival” starts with a social hour at 6 p.m. and continues with films from 7 to 10 p.m. This year’s Grand Jury Prize went to Asiemut, a film by French-Canadians Mélanie Carrier and Oliver Higgins. The film chronicles the filmmakers’ bicycle journey from Mongolia to India. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

3. Last day to vote: What’s your favorite grocery/convenience store in Arlington?

4. Think you got what it takes to be an Arlington Trojan? The local Intercity League team is holding an open tryout this Saturday, May 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at Summer Street Park.
