Craving Seafood? Here's Your Spot in Arlington

Fresh Pond Seafood is now "unofficially open" at 75 Summer St.

Maybe you didn't get organized enough this year to sign up for the Cape Ann Fresh Catch fish share. And, it is tricky to remember to bring that cooler to the Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons for your fish from the folks at Globe Fish. You don't have to worry now though, because a favorite fish spot formerly from Cambridge, has now set up shop in Arlington. Fresh Pond Seafood is now "unofficially open" at 75 Summer St.

You can stop by for fresh seafood for now, but once they get settled in, there will also be take-out and prepared foods available as well. Fresh Pond Seafood is open seven days a week, unless there is a championship parade, and takeout will be available after 11 a.m. daily.  The kitchen should be open July 1 for your Fourth of July weekend cravings.

Fresh Pond Seafood has a wonderful history of over three decades in Cambridge with plenty of regulars from the neighborhood including Julia Child.  In addition, for a little "back in business" fun, a 14 lbs. lobster named Chara is being raffled off with all proceeds going to the Jimmy Fund.  For local residents and former regulars of Fresh Pond Seafood this opening has been much anticipated and so far the reviews are nothing but good.
