Concession Stand Behind Arlington High School Ransacked

The concession stand behind Arlington High School was ransacked sometime between Friday, Nov. 23, and Sunday, Dec. 2, a reporting party told police Saturday afternoon.

The stand’s tables were overturned; utensils and snacks inside the stand were thrown around; and T-shirts and snacks appeared to be missing, according to the person.

Break-In on Harvard Street

A Harvard Street resident told police at about 7 p.m. Friday that someone had broken into his home that afternoon or evening.

He said he returned home to find two small windows broken that allowed someone to unlock his front door and gain entry. He said two laptops and an iPad were missing from the home.

A neighbor said she saw a white male, about 25-30 years old, 5-foot-11 and 140 pounds outside the home. The male was wearing a dark baseball hat, dark blue work jacket and jeans, she said.

Car Backs Into Woman in Ace Hardware Parking Lot

Police responded to Ace Hardware on Mill Street at about 5:17 p.m. Friday for a report of a motor vehicle striking a person.

Once there, police spoke with the victim who said that a Toyota Corolla backed into her in the parking lot. The woman said she had some lower back pain that was radiating to her left leg as well. She said the car struck her twice.

The driver told police that he looked back and did not see anyone behind him. He said he was only going back at about 1 mph when he struck the woman. He said it was dark and rainy and there was poor lighting behind him, which police confirmed.

The woman was evaluated at the scene and refused treatment. She said she was going to driver herself to Emerson Hospital in Concord for further evaluation.
