Closing Date Set for Nicola's

See when the popular Arlington Heights pizzeria will be closing its doors for good.

After 42 years in Arlington Heights, Nicola Pizza House will be closing on Sunday, June 23.

Nicola “Nicky” and Mary Dellacioppa, the Winchester couple who opened Nicola’s on Jan. 15, 1972, have said that they are looking to retire.

They sold the property, at 1215 Mass. Ave., and the adjacent house to Tushar Patel, the Lexington man who owns the nearby Peter Pan Superette at 2 Park Ave., on May 1 of this year.

In late May, Patel said he was “still considering options,” including a pizza place, for the property.
