Belmont Hill Donates $85,000 Floor to Ed Burns Arena

Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine announced the donation at Monday’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting.

The Belmont Hill School has donated $85,000 worth of tennis/sport flooring to the Ed Burns Arena, Town Manager Adam Chapdelaine announced at Monday’s Board of Selectmen’s meeting.

Chapdelaine said the synthetic flooring will be used in the summer months when the arena’s rink doesn’t have ice.

The town will be able to pick up the flooring sometime this coming March or April, Belmont Hill’s athletic director, George Tahan, wrote in an email to Joseph Connelly, the town’s recreation director.

The flooring was previously used at the school, Chapdelaine said.

I believe it's the entire rink floor.

This is a very generous and helpful gift. Hopefully this will allow for year round use of the Ed Burns Arena.
