Arrests in Arlington: Jan. 15-21
There were five arrests in Arlington from Tuesday, Jan. 15, to Monday, Jan. 21.

Monday, Jan. 21
Joseph W. Nickerson, 28, of Fremont Court, Arlington, was arrested at about 2:10 a.m. Monday and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery on a police officer.

Friday, Jan. 18
Regina M. Corcoran, 52, of Webster Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 4:44 p.m. Friday on Mass. Ave. and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise. Corcoran allegedly attempted to steal eight items totaling about $55 from the East Arlington Walgreens.
Thursday, Jan. 17
Christopher J. Sacca, 29, of Broadway, Arlington, was arrested at about 9:23 p.m. Thursday on North Union Street and charged with operating under the influence, first offense, operating with a suspended license, operating with a revoked registration and being in possession of a Class B drug. Sacca was pulled over after he allegedly ran a stop sign and turned without signaling, according to police.
Bennet Mesgoun, a 27-year-old homeless man, was arrested at about 10:54 a.m. Thursday on Gardner Street on an active court warrant. Mesgoun’s warrant was out of Woburn District Court for attempting to commit a crime.

Peter M. Malang, 30, of Summer Street, Arlington, was arrested at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday on Summer Street and charged with assault to maim and assault and battery. Malang allegedly had an altercation with a woman that morning. He allegedly punched the woman on the top of her head several times and bit her shoulder.
