Arlington Teachers Back in School Today

Students return Thursday.

Today is Tuesday, Sept. 4. Here are five things you need to know:

1. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms today, and overall, it should be cloudy with a high near 75, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Arlington teachers return to the classroom today. Arlington students, in grades 1-12, start school Thursday, Sept. 6. See the full school calendar.

3. Thursday, Sept. 6, is also the day of the state primary. In Arlington, Democrats Dave Rogers, Margaret Hegarty and Bobby Reardon are squaring off to run against Republican Tomi Olson and independent candidate Jim Gammill for now state Sen. Will Brownsberger’s former 24th Middlesex District seat.

4. If you were away last week or were just enjoying the end of summer, you missed a news-filled week in Arlington.

5. What does $359,000 get you in Arlington? A townhouse on Orvis Road. Take a look inside.
