WOBURN – In honor of her exemplary service to the Office of the Middlesex District Attorney, Arlington resident Kathleen Keefe was presented with the District Attorney’s Victim Witness Advocate Award at a ceremony held in Woburn, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone announced Thursday.

The District Attorney’s Victim Witness Advocate Award is awarded to a Victim Witness Advocate for demonstrating extraordinary commitment and dedication to serving and protecting those who are most vulnerable in our communities.

Keefe is a Victim Witness Advocate with the Lowell Superior Court Trial Team.

“Katie consistently provides a high caliber of support and services for victims of crime and their families,” District Attorney Leone said. “Katie is diligent and persistent in her work with victims and she aptly helps victims through complex investigations and prosecutions. She is a trusted team player and is highly respected by court personnel, police, and her MDAO colleagues, who nominated her for this award.”

The annual Middlesex District Attorney’s Awards Ceremony was held on January 10, 2013 at Woburn Memorial High School in Woburn.  The office has a proud legacy of exemplary service to the people of Middlesex County, and the series of awards are named in honor of many of the former members of the office.

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, former Middlesex District Attorney, was in attendance to present an award named in her honor.
