Arlington Man, Two Others Allegedly Raped Curry College Student
The incident allegedly took place after a dance at the Milton campus on Sunday, Jan. 20.
An Arlington man and two from Malden allegedly raped a Curry College student in a residence hall after a dance at the college on Sunday, Jan. 20, according to a report in the Currier Times, the school’s student newspaper.
Justin O. Castor, 19, of Arlington, Kensley Metellus, 19, of Malden, and Shakarus D. Semexant, 20, of Malden, were arrested Friday, Jan. 25, by Milton police and charged with aggravated rape, conspiracy to commit rape, assault with intent to rape, and indecent assault and battery, according to the report. The three men were arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court and have been released on bail, the report states.
Castor, who graduated from the Hyde School in Maine in 2011, and Metellus, a 2011 Malden High School graduate, both attended Curry College last year but not this year, according to the report. They both knew the alleged victim, the report states.
The alleged victim reported the incident on Tuesday, Jan. 22. The college sent an email alert about the incident to students Monday, Jan. 28, the report states.
A college spokesman told the student newspaper that the administration was “deeply saddened” by the incident and “100 percent focused” on continuing to support students. Meanwhile, students at the school said they’ve felt “a little unsafe” since the incident.
Semexant attended Mount Ida College in Newton in 2010 after graduating from Malden High School. Both Metellus and Semexant played football their freshman year in college.

A picture is worth a 1,000 words. Their faces should be on the front page of the Boston Globe, the Herald and EVERY town newspaper..... let their criminal acts proceed them !

I agree completely. . . . If they are convicted. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Let them have their day in court first.

In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous.Obviously the Milton Police believe the girl and the Norfolk County DA is confident, based on the evidence, in their ability to successfully prosecute the accused.
The severity of these numerous charges would tend to indicate that the girl resisted to the utmost of her ability, and in addition to being forcibly gang raped, suffered bodily injury as a result.

As an Arlington resident and someone who has known Justin for years I can promise you I am absolutely shocked by these allegations and would never expect this to be true.

There's this little thing called "due process" and "until PROVEN" that you alleged dyed-in-the-wool flag-waving Americans like to claim to be proud of. Except when it doesn't suit your purposes. So FACES of not-yet-proven are not to be put up for retribution acts. Do I think rapists deserve "an eye for an eye" justice? Sure I do. But civilized people don't stoop to reprehensible behavior on the flimsy excuse "well, THEY did it, so we can too." Point being: we're supposed to be "better than that." Otherwise we're just hypocrites with loud mouths.

Why did it take six days for the school to report the incident to their students?
