Cheer on high school hockey teams

High school hockey season officially gets underway this weekend with the Arlington Jamboree on Saturday. Arlington and Arlington Catholic's boys and girls teams will face off on the ice at Veteran's Memorial Rink to sharpen their skills for the 2010-11 season. The boys play at 1 p.m. and the girls hit the ice at 3 p.m. Be sure to check out our previews for the season for AHS and AC

The Old Schwamb Mill will feature the work of three local artists who photograph anything from MBTA traffic to Moraccan clothing stands. The opening reception begins at 2:30 Satruday afternoon.

Share your stories with Playback Theatre

The Arlington Arts Center will provide a unique opportunity for participatory theatre on Satruday night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. True Story Theater performs a magical form of improvisational storytelling called Playback Theatre, where volunteers from the audience describe important moments from their lives, and actors bring them to life through movement, music, and dialogue. Tickets range from $10-15 at the door. For more information call 781.646.1705. 

Rock out at the Regent

Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra (URO) who will be bringing classic rock back to life with a full orcherstra on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinée show at 5:30 p.m. at the Regent Theatre. Reserved seat tickets are available at a price of $22.50 per show and beer and wine will be served.
