17 New Affordable Apartments Available at Old Brigham’s Site
Applications are due by 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30.

17 New Affordable Apartments at Alta Brigham Square, 30-50 Mill St.
Studios: $941/month
One-bedrooms: $1,068/month
Two-bedrooms: $1,185/month
(Rent does not include any utilities except water and sewer.)
Alta Brigham Square is a 116-unit apartment building located one-half block off of Massachusetts Avenue at Arlington Center (30-50 Mill St.). Seventeen of the units will be reserved for individuals and families who qualify for this affordable housing program.
Affordable apartments include designer finishes such as gorgeous plank flooring in kitchen and bath; granite countertops; stainless steel appliances; upgraded espresso-colored designer cabinetry; oversized kitchen islands; and tile surrounds in baths. Community amenities include a wellness center with cardio salon and an outdoor lounge with fire pits and community grills.
The maximum income limits for households are as follows:
1 person: $45,500
2 Person: $52,000
3 Person: $58,500
4 Person: $65,000
A public info session will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6 p.m., in the Arlington Senior Center Mural Room (27 Maple St., behind Town Hall).
Completed applications and required income documentation must be received, not postmarked, by 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30.
The lottery will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m., in the Arlington Senior Center Mural Room.

Affordable? Are these idiots kidding? $1,000/month is not affordable for someone making $45K/yr. But the income table makes sense if you look at the horrendous structure on the outside. Looks like tenement housing....it's an eye sore. Bunch of idiots running our town.

It's good to see Arlington moving forward to create affordable housing. Boston does most of the heavy lifting for the region in this regard, the suburbs must follow their lead.
