Community Ed Expands Winter Term Offerings
Arlington Community Education is offering an expanded selection of winter term courses for adults in 2013.
Returning are popular dance and exercise classes like tai chi, Pilates, and yoga, but students can also choose from favorite courses that until now were offered only during the longer fall and spring terms - courses like Glee for Grown-ups, Beginning Drawing & Painting, Intro to Excel, and Daytime Watercolors. During winter term these classes will meet for four, five or six weeks instead of eight or nine; this abbreviated schedule provides students an opportunity to sample popular classes from other terms at a lower tuition.
In all, there are about two dozen classes to choose from, including single session classes like Paris for the Savvy Traveler, Flirting with Disaster: Personal Safety Planning, Get to Know Your Sewing Machine, and Conquer Clutter.
Winter term begins the week of January 6, and registration is underway. Classes meet at Arlington High School and other convenient locations. Pre-registration is required.
