Belmont Cooperative Nursery School is relocating over the summer to a new space at St. Joseph's Church at 130 Common Street in Belmont. The preschool, previously located at 421 Common Street, will occupy two large, bright and newly renovated classrooms on the second floor of the building. Children enrolled at the preschool will use an outdoor space on campus and will have access to the Underwood playground as well.

As the larger school will eliminate the need for afternoon sessions, starting in September 2012 all classes will meet from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Enrichment programas in drama, art, and music will continue to be an essential part of the curriculum. In addition, the 4-day class's ongoing partnership with Habitat, the Mass Audubon education center and wildlife sanctuary in Belmont, will continue. An optional extended-day program will be available five days a week from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. BCNS will also offer a new Friday morning Stay-and-play class for children ages 1.9 to 2.9 and their caregivers.
